Wasn't quite sure what to put this under... ^_^;;

This painting is the first of two which come from my watercolor class last year. My teacher always wanted us to have a strip of paper to test our colors on before we used them, which isn't something I'd normally do but I slowly adjusted to it. So one day she made some casual comment about how test strips can even start to look like art themselves and then suddenly the idea for this just popped into my head. So then this happened.

I know this may sound completely idiotic - I mean, if I weren't the one who was saying it I'd probably think that - but while I was painting this one and the other one all these really complex totally out there thoughts just kept popping into my head and as soon as I stopped they just completely disappeared; I couldn't recall what I'd been thinking about at all.
